Travel to Nice

Important information for Allianz Global Assistance customers

Due to the latest events that took place in Nice, France, on 14th July 2016, Allianz Global Assistance would like to advise its customers as follows:

• If you have been forced to cut short your trip as a result of the events in Nice, France, then please speak with your tour-operator/ travel provider in the first instance regarding any payment that you may be entitled to as a result of curtailing your holiday. If you have any pre-booked travel, accommodation or unused excursions that cannot be refunded by the tour operator or travel provider, then please submit a claim as outlined in your policy wording.

• If you have not yet travelled to France and cannot as a result of the incidents, for example, if your Operator/carrier has cancelled the flight or if the FCO advises against all travel, please contact your tour operator or travel provider for a full refund. If your travel company cannot refund you your money, you may be able to ask them to rearrange your holiday destination or date. If you choose to cancel your trip of your own accord, your policy will not cover you for any cancellation costs that you may incur.

• If you have bought a single trip policy for France and you cannot now travel because of transport services being suspended or cancelled and are not submitting a claim, then Allianz Global Assistance will refund your policy premium in full. Please in the first instance apply for this refund to the company that issued your policy.

• If you have bought a single trip policy for France and you would like to travel to another destination or on another date, please contact Allianz Global Assistance so that we can make the appropriate changes for you.
